Hi
My custom build has recently started to misbehave, from a previously working condition!
Basically every time it sleeps, it crashes and gives the recovery screen on restart, after which it performs as normal.

Hi DavidB73.

Are you sure that your computer is BSODing? Or just crashes? According to the data the last BSOD happened during February.

For sleep related issues, disable hibernate and free up the startup. Windows does not need any other program to auto start with it, but the auto start programs often conflicts and causes various problems including BSODs.

  1. Click on the Start button
  2. Type “msconfig (without quotes), click the resulting link. It will open the System Configuration window.
  3. Select the “Startup” tab.
  4. Deselect all items other than the antivirus.
  5. Apply > OK
  6. Accept then restart.
Let us know the results.

Hi
Many thanks ARC, I've used your advice and customised it, to (I think!) solve the problem.
The BSOD in February was probably caused by the heatsink on the old processor failing.
I've had a look at the start processes and looked at those that were installed just before the problem started.
I have deleted 2 programs
EaseUS Todo backup free
Raptr
The first was installed to do a specific job, the second had never been used.
After installing the EaseUS product the computer started to hibernate sucessfully again.

It sounds good.

Let us know for any further BSOD.
