Hey new to the forum!
Spent all night looking through people post and downloading software to fix my problem but it is not working!

My problem is when surfing the net and having other programs running in the background, the computer goes into a frozen state, and eventually a white screen taking up to 2 minutes to respond. In a period of about 3 hours it has crashed 15 time or so!
Just before it freezes my hard-drive makes bit of noise.

This all started when i installed a copy of the sims 3 but since have replaced the HDD,
any help on this matter would be great!
Thanks for reading

Hi
The machine is basically freezing in tough situations for example when i ask it to load internet and a game.
Looking at my resource monitor the HDD is going too 100% and then crashing! I have just installed a new HDD but the machine was doing this previously!

When running some checks last night i managed to find a error message saying that it failed to connect to a DNS server, but again this means nothing to me!

thanks
iain
