Well here is the problem I am having. When i start my computer it turns on fine but once i hit the
start windows normally button it goes to the starting windows screen but never goes to my user accounts screen because its freezing. So I have tried a number of things I have did safe mode and safe mode with networking this works but after 10 minutes my computer freezes up and I cant do anything but restart my computer and go through the same thing over and over again. I looked up possible causes and saw something that said it might be outdated drivers but I dont know where to find the correct driver and I dont want to mess my computer up anymore than what its is. If anyone can please help!!

Hmm ok you can try this http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/3413-repair-install.html you can only do this if you have the windows disc

Well i tried that and it continues to freeze up on me for some reason i just put this pc together less 6 hours ago and it worked fine when i installed windows but when i installed my motherboard drivers thats when the freezing started. could i have installed my drivers wrong or do i have a faulty part.

Oh ok so. Didn't know that. Maybe it could be a driver issue? Did you use the drivers that came with the hardware on a disk?

Ok since it only occured when you installed these drivers, you should downlaod up to date drivers of the manufactors website. Even if you have a spare pc go to that and download them there and just save them on a usb.

Ok you would need to go to device manager. To get there goto start-right click computer- manage - device manager - then under each device you right click the device and click update driver and point the path towards the usb stick.

I have my on graphics card which is posted above. The drivers i used for my motherboard where from the disc it came with. i went to the manufracture website like you said and downloaded the updated drivers like you said to do and put it on my usb. i have different drivers for my graphics card which i have not installed yet because of the freezing issue. I am only working on the drivers for my motherboard hopefully that clears things up

Well since you only installed the Operating system. It would be better just to do a clean install? That way with out the driver disk you can just do them each one at a time? Or we could just go through them one by one.

so after messing around with and doing the things you said it finally started to boot up properly. But after about 5 to 10 minutes later while im on the desktop it freezes once again. Also in that time I can get the drivers installed but I dont know if that is the correct drivers to use so im gonna hold off on downloading them to confirm with you here is a link ASRock > 990FX Extreme3 . thats to the website and to my motherboard so if these are the correct driver i will download them.
