It works fine if I don't open any browsers but once I do it stops asking for a password. It happened with Comodo Dragon, so I switched to Google Chrome and it worked ok for a few days. But then stopped asking for a password. I just switched to Chromodo and it's happening there too.

How do I fix this? More importantly why does it happen so often and so easily. I've lost count of the number of times this has happened and it seems like a major security flaw.

I've gone into the power options. "require a password" is checked and it's not that.

Hello.
I don't have password expiration.
I don't have Professional, Ultimate, or Enterpise Windows 7

On option 1 there's a white X inside a red square and it says this computer is running Windows 7 Home Premium. This Snapin may not be used with this version of Windows.

On option 2 the Computer Management window doesn't have Local Users and Groups over on the left. It goes from Shared Folders to Performance.

On option 3 I can get to the User Account window and when I click on Advanced it looks just like the picture in the webpage. But now what? Users must enter a username and password is checked. When I click on Advanced, Manage Passwords I get a window asking me if I want to store credentials. And when I click on Advanced, Advanced that brings me back to the window with the white X inside a red square.

In the registry editor how do I get to dontdisplaylastusername? I don't want that anyway. I want the last user name displayed

I've also tried a system restore. That didn't help

It doesn't show the logon screen at all. It goes right past that to my desktop when it should be requiring a password
