I get a full computer freeze up, nothing on the screen moves and nothing can unlock it other then a force-shut-down...sound like it?

Dear badspell68,
Overheating does not occur as soon as you boot your pc! Say, if it's occuring 30 minutes after use, then that can be one of the causes of the "freeze up! I had a Hitachi internal HD and you could literally make an omelette on the top of the cabinet. Once i switched to a 1TB Seagate Barracuda,the problem went away!
