Hi, everyone. I would like some advice on what to do. As the title says, that is basically what happened. This happened while I was playing World of Warcraft. World of Warcraft was on the same drive partition as well. I was wondering if there's any possible way of getting my data back without having to reformat it. I'm assuming the data is still there (I hope).

This is making me a bit distraught, because some of my C++ practice programs, my driver files, and my music (my own made music) were on that partition. I included a screenshot of my disk management. It was unallocated, but I decided to see what would happen if I could make a new volume on the unallocated space. I haven't reformatted yet.

If E was unallocated and you didn`t format it, then how did it become a partition ?

Do you have a Windows 7 dvd you could boot from to explore partition E: ?

Chances are, if it was unallocated and you made a partition from it, it is now empty of data, as shown by disk management.

I just did new simple volume to see if anything would pop up, but I didn't choose to format it.

Update: I restarted my computer, and the E drive is completely unallocated again. So I ran MalwareBytes quick scan, and I attached the log.
