computer shut down

I want to know if there's a way I can shut down my computer using my cell phone. I have the HTC inspire 3G.

There are a number of ways to do it via a text message- just Google shutdown Windows with a text message.

The easiest way I've seen is if you have either Outlook or Thunderbird installed- if so just add +email client name to your search.
