Hi, All-
My computer has been shutting itself off within 6 hours or so of being turned on. It is always idle when it shuts off.

Thanks so much for any help you can give.

Welcome aboard, Paloma!

Your problem is your modem driver.

It is the modem driver, by Conexant Systems, Inc.

So it is very old, too. Update it, from Conexant Systems, Inc..

Let us know the results.

Thanks for the quick reply. The drivers at conexant are even older than the one that is installed and I don't think they work with Windows 7...maybe the modem doesn't work with Windows 7 either. I've uninstalled it and will see if the computer shuts off or not.
