One of our computer - Win 7 Home premium 32bit - has suddenly stopped working when not being used.
It (presumably) goes into hibernation and will not resume. After forcibly powering down and restarting, it restarts by 'Resuming Windows' and works OK until the next time it is left.
I've tried a system restore, but it's still the same, and booted with the installation disk and tried a system repair - again no joy.

Any ideas please?

Thanks Jacee, that seems to have stopped it occurring, it just means I can't 'Put the computer to sleep'.

What settings did you change to fix it ?
Were you using Hybrid sleep when you had the problem ?
(Hybrid sleep uses both sleep and hibernate)
Maybe you had a "sleep" problem, and "hibernate" worked ok ???
Do you see any errors listed in the Event Log for this ?

If you want to use sleep and/or hibernate maybe this trace tutorial from cluberti will help:
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorial...up-shutdown-sleep-hibernate-reboot-trace.html
You'll probably need help from cluberti for using/analyzing the trace ...

Thanks for the reply DavidW7ncus.

Basically, all I changed was the 'Put computer to sleep' setting from 30 mins to Never on the Balanced Settings, and left the Turn off display setting at 10 mins.
I didn't consult an events log, and I'm really not too bothered that it won't sleep.
