Today I tried to boot in safe mode using the normal F8 when restarting and that didnt work. So I tried looking for other methods of booting into safe mode and came across the method of msconfig change. I typed in "bcdedit /set {default} safeboot minimal" into the command prompt realizing that it would boot into safe mode every time I restart unless I changed it back.
Once I did this and restarted the computer, it goes through the normal safe mode boot screen and then into the welcome screen. As I type in my password, the computer shuts down and reboots. It doesnt give me any options to boot in a different mode and pressing F8 doesnt return any results either. Now I'm stuck in an endless reboot loop and can't change BIOS settings to try to boot from a repair disk.
Any ideas what to try next? Thanks.
