All you really need is a magnetic Phillips head screwdriver........seriously

I find my 3 prong grab tool indespensible - especially for starting difficult to get at mobo mounting screws.

I have a #2 and a #1 Phillips screwdrivers that Daddy gave me gosh knows how many years ago that have a two jawed clip on the end that are perfect for starting Phillips head screws. Just push down on the jaws, slip on the screw, then engage the screw threads in the hole. Once the threads are engaged (and ready to get married?), I just pull on the screwdriver to pull the jaws clear, slip the jaws up the shank of the screwdriver, then finish driving the screw home. Easy peasy. I would love to find the same kind of screwdrivers in stubby and extra long but, so far, no luck.



The #2 is holding a screw in its jaws and the #1 has the jaws retracted.
