I have no idea why a computer built from scratch would block you from the bios.

I should have remembered that when I made the statement. That makes things more difficult to diagnose.

I used the thermal compound that came with the Fan I bought which is a very good one, I spent like one year with the cpu stock fan , then I bought this one to lower temps a lot more, it was sucessfull, This mobo and cpu are exactly 2 years and eleven months old. It worked flawlessly until this isuue..I recently checked for cpu placement and it is all fine..

Do you still have the new power supply installed?

Another thing that I have only seen twice, is the power button or it's harness on the case. If their is a short it will reboot at times.

The last option I can think of is build the system outside the case.
You will have to use a small screw driver to jump the two pins to start the system.

Some of the new power supplies will cycle if for what ever reason the power supply senses a short any place in the system. It doesn't take much of a power to ground short.

Hello people... I did everything as suggested and nothing. Same boot loop. This motherboard is famous for having this booting loop issue. My mobo Rev. is 1.3. and I updated to Bios version F12 long time ago. Never had the issue.

I remember that I started this thread because I wanted to be informed in case the boot loop happened to me.
Advices to avoid the dreaded boot loop on GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3

Today I followed advices from that thread and nothing...

I cannot believe this.... I cannot even find the same mobo online...

Your problem is probably the reason for that.

Couldn't you get an i5 compatible motherboard from another brand?

Ok, Maybe but I want to keep compatibility with my Ram memory, ...
I wanted to get the same Mobo because I wanted to keep all my software and OS configuration, which is huge, ....
I dont know if I am going to be able to restore an image to a new mobo... you know what I mean? Is that possible? maybe with Universal Restore from True Image ??

please tell me how can I get a mobo which supports sandy bridge and is also compatible with my Ram...
To my knowledge , Ram is very difficult to find compatibility with..

Ok I just checked the mobo memory compatibily list and my ram is not listed there. There are very close models but not exactly the same numbers. The person who lend it to me told me that the compatibility posibilities are very high.. So I am going to test.. Any thoughts are welcome

There are 2 specs you MUST meet:
Ram Type: DDR3
RAM voltage: 1.5v works in most Intel i series boards, 1.65v works in many. Check the specs of the approved RAM on the list.

There are 2 specs you can have some slack on:
Timings: any of the timings of the RAM on the list will work, but all modules should be the same timings.
Speed: Any of the RAM speeds listed will work at their listed timings.

I was actually not thinking about messing with timings or speed in BIOS.
If I choose Optimize Settings in BIOS,

Hello. I installed the mobo and eveything went fine. It booted to my previous windows installation. That was incredible, I did not do anything.
I guess all I have todo now is install the new mobo drivers. Should I uninstall the previous mobo drivers before installing the newer ones?

Yes: then replace the drivers if there are newer or different ones (check the version numbers and dates)
No: then complete your test and then decide if you need to buy a new motherboard.

Whenever I modify/upgrade a device in my desktop, I just perform a clean install.
Because removing the old drivers and installing the new ones is quite a hassle.

Besides, a clean install ensures that everything will work fine, no old and new drivers
left-over conflicts.

If you can't perform a clean install, just boot to safe mode and uninstall all the drivers with exclamation marks.

If you can't perform a clean install, just uninstall all the drivers with exclamation marks, perform a registry clean, clear all the temporary files. You could use CCleaner for that.
Then install the drivers for new hardware.
