Hi

Here's my current specs:
AMD Athlon 64 X2 5400+ @ 2.8Ghz
WinFast 6150M2MA (Socket AM2 )
3.00 GB Single-Channel DDR2
ATI Radeon HD 5450
156GB ExcelStor HDD
2 x LITEON DVD-ROM
330W Seasonic PSU
Raidmax Sagitta case

Would a new AT Radeon HD 6870 work in this computer at the moment? I was wondering if I had the correct connections really since the computer is quite old, still using IDE connections.
Thanks

I'm sure you would need a much larger PSU to run that card, here's the specs.

That SATA/IDE is for HDDs and not v cards, PCI-e connectors are needed for (big) v cards, not to mention that card may be too big/long to fit in an older case.

ye but if I get a new PSU, which im happy to do, there would be no ide connections for my hard drives as far as I can figure out. Also the case is fine for length.
