When I turn off the computer it installs upgrades and when I turn it on it configures the computer. this takes a long time. I did a restore but that didn't help.
This is a 32 bit HP. lots of stuff on it.

Thanks
Doyal

Welcome
Easy to fix
Set updater to notify and not install
When you get duplicate updates, right click on them and set to hide. You will not be bothered again.
I suggest for your consideration, however, that the upgrades were necessary and not duplicates.

Hello Doyal!

Can you please view your Windows Update History: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/24367-windows-update-view-update-history-details.html?filter[3]=Windows%20Updates

And tell me if there is one update in particular which is repeatedly being installed. Or a certain couple?

If there is more than one, please try them one at a time, until you get down to a core which have problems.

If one is failing, please tell me which ones, and double click on it to get the error code and tell me that too.

If one is succeeding repeatedly, contrary to common opinion, it is NOT a happy update, and is to a certain, but lesser, extent, corrupt and only partially installed.

Please tell me which ones and which errors codes if applicable.

Thanks a lot!

Richard
