Hi my windows 7 64 bit acer will not show the bootloader

When i turn on the computer, it shows the acer logo and then restarts. it continues this until i force the comp to turn off by holding the power button
i tried booting from a cd/dvd but that did not work either. The computer simply keeps restarting before the bootloader
i reset the BIOS but nothing changed
please help

Yeah, my comp wont get to the screen where i can choose the boot options
ill see if leaving the computer without battery overnight helps
if it helps, this problem started happening after
1. i reinstalled windows 7 via the recovery partition
2. installing and uninstalling lots of programs and updates which required a restart
3. also, before shutting the computer down, i terminated a DVD burning process (i was burning a recovery DVD for future use)

Did you try hitting F8 quickly and many times during boot?

It should work if you keep battery out for 5 minutes, overnight is not necessaary.

Try booting into safe mode and see what can be done from there.

If does not work, remove battery, hold power button about 15 seconds, leave like that 5 minutes.

If you have access to another pc you could try the second option in the tutorial
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/2083-system-repair-disc-create.html
Then boot from the disc and try a startup repair.

Good luck to you with this problem :D
