Computer will not let me past reboot screen/ or circles back to it.

My current error is "Reboot and Select proper Boot device or Inser Boot Media in selected Boot device and press a key". I took a picture of two different messages that appeared previous to this continuous message. If someone is able to help I can text or E-mail the pictures of the previous errors. Please help! I am on a laptop at the moment and the computer that is sick is my desktop.

First make it sure that the 100 MB system reserved partition is marked as active or not. Follow the method two of the tutorial http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/71432-partition-mark-active.html to do it. Or as you have access to another computer, download Partition Wizard Bootable CD, burn it in a blank disc, and follow the method three of the tutorial http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/71432-partition-mark-active.html

Or, run Startup Repair for three separate times, with restarts after every single run.

Also,

Boot into your BIOS Settings and see if the hard drive is recognized there.

If not, check the cables that connect to the drive (with PC off and power supply unplugged). It is best to remove and replace (unplug & re-plug) the cables and make sure they are firmly connected and secure.

Can you hear the drive spinning?
