If you could have one tech avail to you that isn't already avail or is but still needs major work before it becomes main stream what would it be. You could pick something from SCI-FI or whatever but you can only have ONE.

I would want a virtual reality room. being able to interact with a program just seems like a logical step beyond keyboards and monitors and mice. This would be great for gaming, medical and science research.

I think this is the best answer for anyone. Could improve surgery incisions. For disater recovery free victims trapped. Logging in forests alot faster and less vehicle use... + environment.

and for everyday use to cut down your enemies and scumbags

better be one really small beam out of that lightsaber if your going to do surgery with it. but I think the Da Vinci surgery machine makes small enough holes (I have 5 holes from that machine, granted it looks like I got shot but its better then the old method which would have left me permanent muscle damage)

i would think if they had invented a light saber they could shrink it. Would cost a fortune though! I didnt hear about the Da Vinci until a few years ago. It blew my mind! i think we need more of those and less doctors :D

It took 2 surgeons to do my surgery which in my mind should have been simple, granted the 1cm part of the tube from my kidney they removed was killing me I don't understand why 2 surgeons were needed or why it took 6 hours or why it took 6 more hours to come out of it. From what I have read though the surgeon remotely controls the arms and works that way. Only problem with it is it gives them a god complex and they lose all bedside manner. At least the 2 I had and now the one my wife has.

I like the space ship idea but I think I would want something a little smaller.
