I have read your other thread and your post here.

It seem to me your (shop bought media) is corrupt.
I really don't know what a (shop bought media) is. It could be anything and is not a indication that the media is proper.
What Windows 7 (shop bought media) did you buy and how much did you pay for it?

I recommend that you do what was recommended in your other thread and try to boot your (shop bought media) in a know good computer.

Try copying your driver disk to a USB flash drive. See if it will start from there. Maybe it's a problem with the DVD drive.

Try doing this.

Place your drivers disk in the DVD/CD drive.
Click on Start, and then on Computer.
Right click the DVD drive, scroll down and choose Open.

Now a window will open with all the files that are on the Drivers disk.

Now on you keyboard tap the Alt key. This should open the menu toolbar. It will show just under the Address bar near the top of the window. On the Menu bar you will see File Edit View Tools Help

Click on Edit, scroll down and click on Select All. All the files in the window will now be blue.
Next tap the Alt key again
Go back up and click on Edit, scroll down and click on Copy.

Next go to the Desktop, right click in an empty space and click on New, and then click on Folder.
Name the new folder "Drivers Disk".

Now double click the new Drivers Disk folder you just made. It will be empty.
Next tap the Alt key again. Go up and click on Edit, scroll down and click on Paste.

All the files that are on the drivers disk CD/DVD will now be in the new Drivers Disk folder on the Desktop.

If there is a Setup.exe file in the Drivers Disk folder, double click on it to see if it will open or start the program.

If this doesn't work, then forget about putting the files on a USB flash drive or making a new CD/DVD. Unless you want to make a backup of your drivers disk.

Windows 7 not updating is a known issue. There is nothing wrong with your computer or install. Some have suggested that Microsoft is doing this on purpose to get people to upgrade to Windows 10. I don't know if it's true but it does seem suspicious.

Here is just one thread about the problem. There are many more just in this forum. Some clame to have solved the problem using different methods. I have not tried any of them but if you search and read you can try them yourself.

I use MSE and have no problems.
I also use Malwarebytes Anti Malware Premium.

I and many other use Macrium Reflect for images, backups and clones.
I would suggest you use a external drive for all images, clones and or backups.
After making your backup, remove the external drive from your system and put it some place safe.

Glad to hear you got everything working. I also use MSE and have for years. I like it because it uses very little resources and is easy on you system.

Layback Bear said it all about backing up your computer. Macrium Reflect Free is an excellent program.
