Forget optical computing or quantum computing: researchers at Aalto University have successfully used water droplets as bits of digital information.

Using what they term 'superhydrophobic droplet logic', they've built a memory device, as well as devices for elementary Boolean logic operations.

Trying my best to learn.
Similar to billiards really, one droplet knocks the other one down one route and aims the next one just slightly to the opposite one ready to be knocked down the other route, it will always be consistent because the drops will always set the next one up for a specific path.
