Configure Live Mail ?

I've been using Windows Live Mail for a while now and find it quite well suited to my needs.
Over the last few weeks occasionally when I launch WLM ( via quick launch button pinned to the toolbar ) I get a dialogue box "Please wait while Windows configures Live Mail". It stays on screen for 3 or 4 seconds then disappears - I can then launch the programme by pressing the quick launch icon again.
Mostly it just opens up straight away when I hit the quick launch icon. ( Ithink they're called quick launch icons - the little buttons on the left of the task bar near the start orb )

I'm a bit puzzled why Windows needs to keep on configuring Live Mail all the time. It's not a huge deal but a bit annoying nonetheless - anybody got any ideas ?
Thanks
Glenn.

I've seen similar behavior when the system isn't shut down cleanly after setting something up, or the system just "thinks" it didn't shut down cleanly. Try this. Open it up and let it go through it's config. Then close Live mail through the menu, not the "x". Then logout of the system. Then shut it down. When you are logged out you may need to select "switch user" to see the shutdown button. Power the machine back on and see if it still does that.

Sorry to hyjack

Okay so I opened my new toy and so far the only issue I've discovered is Windows Live Mail doesn't seem to like AOL accounts very much. After some port configurations it seems I can send text based emails. However I'm still having issues sending attachements. I had one successful attempt however ever since it's been a bust. The file I sent was a bitmap screenshot at roughly 7MB so I know the size requiremented can handle at least that much. Since then I've sent a couple of smaller mails with multipul and single attachments that were smaller jpgs. I get the error that "Server has terminated the connection. Possible causes may be..." I'm sure you've seen it before.

Any ideas?

Thanks Desslok I'll try what you suggest and see if there's any change.

I don't know if it's relevant or not but I have always closed WLM through the "X" rather than the programme menu and I usually use sleep mode rather than shutting down and rebooting.

I'm the only user of the computer so there's no other user accounts ( if that's what they're called ) set up.

Glenn.

No luck - still randomly wants to configure. Oh well, I can live with it.

Well I finally found the problem. I'd been using a registry cleaner that was deleting entries relating to WLM - told the regristry cleaner to ignore those entries and problem solved :)
