Connect to Windows8 forum from Windows7 ?

I have a Windows8 specific question, I noticed I have to register on the Windows8 forum unless I can login to the Windows7 forum and connect to the Windows8 forum ? If not, can I ask the question on this forum hoping someone can answer ?

There is not yet an option to 'port' you sf acount over too eight forums. Just signup with the same username and use copy and paste for most info.... Thats how i did it.
