Connected to Internet - Browser does not work

Also, five minutes later my virus scanner was complaining (did not like the revert) and wanted a restart, and lo and behold - the problem was back.

The Scanner used is from G-Data, just for future reference...

Does the issue persist when you turn AV off?

A reinstallation of the Virus-Scanner solved the problem. The Scanner claimed to be offline but apparently was still blocking/slowing internet traffic through the browser. I guess there was a problem with a broken update or something...
