Connected to internet but cant browse

Seeing what you guys tried all so far, my money would be on the router blocking access for some reason. From your ipconfig snip I see the router connects you and gives you an ip as well as a DNS address. That means, locally the connection works. But somehow it seems that the router blocks you from connecting to the outside world.
Check the settings (especially if the amount of supported computers is set too low or if the router firewall has any limitation rules that concern/include your computer)

Hello there, your problem may be the fact that your TCP/IP stacks and Winsock configurations are somehow damaged.

To solve this, follow the next steps:

1) go to start, type "cmd" in the search bar (without quotes), right click it and "run as administrator".
2) type this: "ipconfig /release" (w/o quotes) and press enter.
3) now type: "ipconfig /flushdns" (w/o quotes) and press enter.
4) now: "ipconfig /renew" and press enter.

If that doesn't solve it, do the following

1) type on the CMD window: "netsh winsock reset catalog" and press enter.
2) after done, type: "netsh int ip reset reset.log" and press enter.

Reboot and check if everything works!

And of course, report back... please

Try Punksters suggestion first and see if that solves it.
To check "inside" the router you need to connect to the router control panel by typing
in the browser URL.
But if you have to ask, you haven't been in there to change anything. Is there anybody else who might have set up the router and probably mis-configured it in the process?

Somebody must have set up all those computers in the router. That person must have also set up security
(hopefully).
Obviously it wasn't you so I don't suggest you go ahead and click around there in the settings or chances are none of your computers connect to the internet after that ;) What make and model is your router?

Same symptoms and how I got my working

I had the same problem except my browsers were Firefox and IE. My setup is wired Ethernet to Lynksys router to Motorola cable modem to Comcast, OS is Windows 7 ultimate x64. I tried all the above suggestions but nothing works. My setup finally worked when I noticed that my virus program is no longer running whenever I do the reboot so I manually launch it and the browser can now access the internet. The antivirus program I am using is Norton Security Suite.

Just had the same problem. All browsers did not want to load up on my desktop pc while laptop and mobile were working with no problems. Was able to ping and even use remote desktop for my work but loading the page, updates or skype or any other app was just not getting through even after i disabled all firewalls and even removed the AV.
did what was suggested above:
ipconfig/release
ipconfig/flushdns
ipconfig/renew
netsh winsock reset catalog
netsh int ip reset reset.log

rebooted the PC and yeeees it worked.

i have had an IT guy from my work logged in and having a look but he was bafled ..

THANKS A LOT from Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina :)
