Hi All

I have recently upgraded my desktop from xp to win7. Everything is fine and i love the new windows but unfortunately i am having problems connecting to the Internet. I can connect to the network through wireless no problem but it says that there is no internet access.
I have one other laptop (wireless)and desktop (wired) which both run xp and both can connect fine with no problems.

Can anyone help?

I have attached a small screen shot to help

thanks

Ok I am seeing some "Media Disconnected" on some of your interfaces.

What are you trying to connect with?
Atheros L1 Gigabit Ethernet 10/100/1000Ba
^^This one or
D-Link AirPlus DWL-G520 Wireless PCI Adap
^^ This one

Do you want wireless or wired connection?
Make sure your interfaces are turned on to do that go to Start :orb:
and in search bar type "View Network Connections" in the search bar hit enter
Find the connection or interface you want to connect/use (right-click on that interface and hit enable)

Hope this Helps,
Ryan

For Test Purpose only, please try removing the Network Security from your router and see if you're able to connect. If you can't connect, try a WEP security, test your connection again, if you have succeed please report back here and we can switch your network security back to WPA or WPA2.

Have you tested your wired connection? I have noticed from the ipconfig /all that the DHCP is Disabled from Atheros L1 Gigabit Ethernet 10/100/1000Base-T Controller.

Please report back again.

You should run this tunnel adaptor remover first. Too many of these indicates a driver problem and it will also ruin your connection if there are too many of those tunnel adaptors. This problem happens all the time. Click and save the zip file, then run the zip file and reboot.

Yes those pesky tunnel adaptors will do this sort of thing. I'm glad the zip file worked for you, it's easier than delating them one at a time.

I guess your router was hosed by the extra adaptors also, probably was overloaded along with your network connection. The problem may occur again if you don't clean up your connections and make sure you have the correct drivers installed.

Glad you have it working boarbaboon. :)
