Connection Problem

I am from Brazil and I have Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bits and I use proxy server with encryption and decryption mode, when I select decryption mode all my connections (except Firefox that works fine) stop and I receive this message when diagnosing connection:
"The device or resource (web proxy) is not set up to accept connections on port "8080".
Contact your network administrator Not run
The computer or device you are trying to reach is available, but it doesn’t support what you’re trying to do. This might be a configuration issue or a limitation of the device."


My last HP notebook had Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bits and it used to work fine in both encrypted or decrypted modes. I know my problem is not my proxy server software nor the internet USB modem. Does anyone has the answer to my problem? Thank you!

So it works enc/decrypt on firefox but not other browsers like IE?

If that is the case check IE for autodetect settings and uncheck it.

Not that easy

Hi Ken. This was my first step. It did not work. The thing is, only Firefox works on enabled or disabled encryption. But when watching stream videos, even firefox does not work, it does not load the video. I just upgraded from Home Premium to Ultimate but it still does not work. The problem remains. What can I do?
