About a month ago, I was hit with a virus and thats when this problem started. I have definitively gotton rid of the virus but the connectivity problem remains. Weirdly, i used sfc/ scannow and it fixed it. Then i went to my sisters house, connected to her wireless network, and when I came back and tried connecting to my network wirelessly I found the same problem I just got rid of, only the sfc /scannow didn't work. I have tried deleting my Ivp6, reseting the winsock, ip address, and connecting to the router through wires does not work

I have a pirated copy of windows 7 since I was not going to buy a new one for the new hard drive I upgraded my laptop with. Since apparently repair install requires the cd or key, any advice on getting around that or should I just burn the iso image to a cdr?

if you have a legitimate key and the proper version of windows you can activate it on new hardware.
That's not a reason to pirate windows 7.
It's not like xp was.
They may make you call in the activation the first time with the new hardware but they will allow it.

Unfortunately that's the limit of the assistance I can give you now, site rules prevent me from helping you with pirated software.

Fair enough, I can figure it out from here I believe. Thanks though, no idea why I haven't considered or heard of this option from other forums before. Hope it works for me.
