i have a gate way desktop computer i had windows vista and my friend gave me a cd for windows seven. i updated my computer to windows seven and the main computer with the internet modem etc is downstairs i have a router connected to my computer and iw as able to connect to the network before i updated the computer.. now i dont have any internet and nothing about wireless is even showing i cnt connect someone please help me

Hi Spunna, welcome to seven forums. Have you created a "Homegroup" yet? if not follow this tutorial and ensure that the Vista machine can connect to the Windows 7 machine properly first:- http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/43961-homegroup-create.html

Has the C/D of Windows 7 been use before on another computer. Is it OEM or Retail.
