I have comodo firewall installed and I have now received an alert for the second time wanting to grant access to 'consent.exe'. It seems consent.exe is related to UAC but when I opened the taskmgr and right clicked to go to file location it wouldn't open it. Usually it takes me to the exe location if I right click and click the open file location. Then out of nowhere the magnify application opened. Is there reason to panic here or there is something wrong?

You m ay want to do a Google search on the file name " consent.exe " and see if there is a way to determine if that file is real or malware of sorts.

Hope this sheds some light on your dilemma. Is Consent.exe a Malware? | EXE-Error-Fixes.com

Did you attempt to start Magnifier prior to this happening? Good time to do a full scan with MalwareBytes after updating its definition files. See link below my sig.

I just reinstalled windows 7 with my newly ordered windows 7 backup disc. And this consent.exe problem have been appearing since. The weird thing is that some files in taskmgr don't seem to respond to right click > go to file location like csrss.exe and winlogon.exe. When I right click over them and click open file location, nothing happens. same with consent.exe. Can anyone confirm if they are having the same problem or is it just me.

Btw I ran a full scan of malwarebytes and nothing was detected.

I would say if Comodo still complains about consent.exe to allow it since it is the UAC at work. You can disable UAC to see if that makes it go away.

Thanks for the snip, I was hoping there would be something starting which should not be but, it looks fine.
