Hello all. I recently decided to fork over the money and put myself together a nice gaming computer. The problem is I'm being constantly plagued by BSOD even as I currently type this out.

I've never been very computer savvy so I had to have my tech friend walk me through getting all the right stuff purchased and put together.

I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate x64
2 2GB of RAM
ASUS HD7750 graphcis card
ASUS M5A78L-M LX Motherboard
AMD Athlon II X3 450 Rana 3.2GHz Processor
500GB SATA Hard drive

My friend downloaded some debug software that loaded the minidumps and showed that most of the BSODs were caused by ntoskrnl.exe

Also, I'm not sure, but I think I keep hearing a soft squeaking noise coming from the computer.

What you need to do is put in your installation disk and go into to the recovery console once in your recovery console type in chkdsk /r and hit enter that should fix it if not let me know

I've already tried chkdsk /r and it didn't help at all

ok we need to do the next step
Go in to command prompt and type this attrib -R C:\boot.ini followed by enter
Then del C:\boot.ini followed by enter
With the boot.ini gone, it’s time to rebuild it type bootcfg /rebuild followed by enter
When prompted to search for installed OS’s entry
When prompted for the load identifier enter the name of the installed OS
type yours Windows 7 Ultimate x64
When prompted for the load options enter type /fastdetect followed by enter
Next enter fixboot C: followed by enter
now reboot and see if it works if it doesn't

If none of the above worked hop into the recovery console once again and enter fixmbr C: followed by enter and then reboot.

Sorry but none of those worked. I typed exactly what you told me but it said it could not locate boot.ini.
