Hi people

Please, please, please help me. I have lost the will to live. I am getting numerous bsod crashes after logging on and have saved the txt files via blue screen view. I know that these are driver related and I also think that they may be windows drivers.

HI FF and welcome

Do us a favor in the future give us the actial DMP file. We can do a lot more with it. That being said your crash was probaly caused by Driver : fltmgr.sys. That file if the OS file manager.

I would run a system file check to verify and reair your system files
(type cmd in search>right click and run as admin>sfc /scannow)

let u know if you need help

\Ken

I ran the scan and it said that many files could not be fixed. I have installed 3 times prior to my first post on here.

Also, I did forget to mention that I have unlocked my dual core processor to a quad core and was wondering if the quad core drivers may have an impact on things

Since you mentioned your processor, I would advice resetting it to the defaults.

If you are overclocking stop.

Hi again,

I have reset my cpu to default dual core. I have not overclocked my pc but just simply released the other 2 cores as it is built on quad core architecture.

To answer your question zigzag, I saw the message at the end of the scan in the cmd promt

Have you tried re-running SFC /scannow again? sometimes it will fix more files on the second or third run and it doesnt take too long.

Hi again,

I have run scannow again and it fixed te errors, but the next morning it crashed again. I ran scannow again and it came up with the usual message saying that it could not fix some errors as they are corrupted files. I then formatted my hd and reinstalled 64 bit win7. Without adding any drivers or running windows update I then ran sfc /scannow. There were the same errors even without any drivers updated from the hardware manufacturers or running win update. I then installed the 32 bit version, installed motherboard drivers and ran windows update. I ran the scannow cmd and no errors. I went to work, switched on my pc when back home, ran scannow, no errors. Went to bed, woke up, ran scannow, no errors. I have now returned from work and run the cmd again and still no errors. To me this would point to either a corrupt dvd or a compatability issue with amd/ati drivers. What are your thoughts?
