Hello,

It seems as if this may be a hardware problem; specifically, memory is what I suspect. Before testing that though, try removing Daemon Tools, as it is using SPTD. When that is done, remove SPTD itself with this tool: http://www.duplexsecure.com/download/SPTDinst-v174-x64.exe

SPTD is a Boot driver well-known for causing BSODs, sometimes like yours.

Now time for the hardware diagnostics. Run the Blend Prime95 test: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/100352-cpu-stress-test-prime95.html

Run Memtest86 overnight: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/105647-ram-test-memtest86.html

Hi

i unstilland deamon tools, ran the first file you said which a box came up saying

" High sptd version is already present. Run its setup for maintaince. "

i then ran the PRIME95 program, ran for about 30 seconds and BSOD, USBsomething.sys. ( no minidump created :S)

then rebooted again tried the same program and about 15-20 seconds the pc went blank and rebooted.

i not tried the memteest whcih i will try overnight

If you see an Uninstall option for SPTD, use it. Otherwise, go to C:\Windows\System32\drivers, and delete SPTD.sys.

Running Memtest86 will hopefully tell us more about whether this is a RAM problem or not. If Prime95 is crashing consistently, it may indicate a hardware problem.

What kind of temperatures are you getting? Check with Speedfan.

Hm . The temp on speed fan is normally around 36ish when doing normal things . When doing the prime test it went to about 44 . The memtest stopped after 2 seconds and errors are all over the screen . .. So It crashed on the prime and errors on memtest . Wat next lol . I think like you say faulty ram . Wats the best action to do now ?

I think the best action is to RMA the whole kit of RAM. If the computer is under warranty, send it in. Otherwise, purchase a new kit of RAM.

I think it's the RAM; let's remove SPTD however.

In the start menu, enter regedit and press enter; navigate to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\ Services\sptd", and set the DWORD start value to 4. Then delete SPTD.sys from C:\Windows\System32\drivers.
