Windows 7 - x64 - the original installed OS on the system was Vista Home x64
I started getting blue screens about 5 times a day when I had Vista. I installed Windows 7.
After about a week the blue screens started again. Tried updating drivers. Had nothing on the laptop.
Reinstalled windows 7 for the second time.

It's been about 4 months and the blue screens have started again. I didn't do anything new, but decided
to update the drivers. I've scanned the laptop for viruses and spyware. Updated anything I could.

Not really sure what else to do besides install windows 7 again and I really don't want to.

The blue screens seem to happen most when I'm playing World of Warcraft. When that happens, the dump files don't show up in the typical folder.

If anyone can provide help, it would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

This sounds like it may be a hard drive issue, based on your description and a few event logs. Tell me, did you format the drive between reinstallations? If so, that may well explain why the crashes would stop temporarily.

Chkdsk showed no problems. Ran it through command prompt then did

That showed zero problems as well.
