Constant Crashing with multiple .dll faults

I have been having a constant "App has stopped working" error for the past few days. It happens on every app I try, IE, BF3, TS3, Steam, Origin, basically anything. I checked the event viewer, and I seem to get alot of d2d1.dll faults, ntdll.dll, msvcrt.dll, QtCore4.dll, bf3.exe fault, nvwgf2um.dll and several others.

Ive reinstalled Win7 on my SSD and a different HD as well, still no fix. Replaced both ram sticks with known good sticks, no fix, and also replaced Graphics Card to known good Radeon HD 6870 and same issue.

Ive done the sfc /scannow, no fix.

Im leaning towards the Mobo being bad, but thats just a guess. Any help would be greaT!

Are you sure you "reinstalled" the OS? If not, follow this guide: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1649-clean-install-windows-7-a.html

Before doing a clean install, try doing a clean boot and the run your apps and see if the problem persists: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorial...ation-conflicts-performing-clean-startup.html

Hi ColbyGo and welcome to Seven Forums.

I would try to run a virus scan. Which one do you have? Also I would recommened doing a registry clean maybe with ccleaner? here is a link CCleaner - PC Optimization and Cleaning - Free Download

Considering the fact that you reinstalled windows it could be a bad disk.

Of course I'm sure I reinstalled windows 7? As a matter of fact I did a clean install on 3 different hard-drives. I run Microsoft security essentials, and I'm worried about using a registry cleaner due to the fact that I've heard try cause more problems than they fix. Besides, the problem persisted right after I re installed windows 7, before I even could download drivers. So how can a registry be messed up the moment it's installed?

This means some hardware is being bad, but I'm afraid I don't know which (might be one of the RAM sticks).

Hey wait! How do you know the problem persisted just after a clean install? You didn't have any apps, so what was crashing at that time (just after reinstall)?

If I tried to use internet Explorer, or try to install drivers off a cd, they would crash.. I pushed through it and was able to get steam and origin installed, and it would shut those down randomly as well. And yes all three HDDs are good, and have been in use. RAM checked out fine on memtest 86.

The crashing is so bad, I cant even use the computer. Im curious if it might be a problem with my motherboard, between one of the bridges not communicating with the CPU very well. But I also thought if that was the case, then why would Windows load up just fine?

Don't normally recommend this but what bios verison do you have?

Ahh I'm pretty sure it's the standard version that comes with a biostar 880g+. I've never flashed it if that's what you are asking.

Maybe you should look if there is a update on the BIOS and see what updates it has if there is one.

Hi ColbyGo. I'm just curious; where and how did you get your copy of Windows 7 to do 3 clean installs?

Did you use one of the Tutorials on this Forum to help through the install?

I have an oem copy. I basically just replaced the hard drive to 3 different ones on 3 separate occasion. If you are concerned with the key code, it's no biggie unless you replace the mobo. It activated all 3 times just fines.

No my concern was that you might of downloaded your copy and it was corrupt and that is the reason things are not working out for you. Sometime when a ISO is burned to a CD/DVD their is a problem.

Oh no. This problem just happened all of a sudden. 2 months ago I installed a brand new ssd and everything worked fine till this. That's why I tested 3 different harddrives to see if the ssd was the problem but that was not the case.

First 3 .DLLs are OS related, qtcore4.dll is from the C++ App Dev Framework v4.x, and the last one is NVidia driver related.

User has swapped out everything but the PSU and motherboard, right? I'd take those to be checked, can leave in case, I own a PSU checker myself.

I've had a motherboard checked where I bought it, but you can probably get it checked various places, cheaply, hoping you live in a metro area.
