Hey Guys,

I was wandering if anyone had any advice on the following? I recently had a major boot issue with my PC and after much installing, formatting HDD and reinstalling my OS (Windows 7), I came to the conclusion that it was time for a hardware overhall.

I'd been getting some BSOD relating to RAM (PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA) and some IRQL BSOD's too, so I figured it was time to replace both the Hard Drive and the RAM, as these were the usual suspects when it came to crashes.

However, I'm now getting STOP BSOD's for 0000007E and 00000124, which I'm pretty sure is graphics related. This would also tie in with some other issues I've been having, namely with Flash crashing intermittantly and with several Games that I've not been able to play past 20 minutes max, before 'an unexpected error' occurs and it crashes to desktop, normally to be followed with a BSOD if it's not already done so.

Now, I've done the usual of reinstalling drivers and completing memtest just to be sure however as this is a brand new HD and a completely new install of Windows 7, I'm going to assume that the prime suspect here is in fact the Graphics card and not the HD, BUT... I have been known to be wrong so my question is; Am I missing something obvious here? Is there something more I can do software wise, before changing the hardware and is the problem what I think it is?

I can supply a list of the BSOD STOP codes if needed and my system specs are enclosed below:

These (PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA) and some IRQL BSOD's too) are not always caused by ram. Also probably not the GPU

If you can get us the actual DMP file we can tell you

If you wish to have others assist you with your computer's BSOD symptoms, upload the contents of your "\Windows\Minidump" folder. The procedure:

* Copy the contents of \Windows\Minidump to another (temporary) location somewhere on your machine.
* Zip up the copy.
* Attach the ZIP archive to your post using the "paperclip" (file attachments) button.
* Briefly describe the problem history and circumstances in the same post. Somebody will attend to your query as soon as possible.

I've had another BSOD with a 0x00000124 STOP error. I've enclosed an image of the Error Parameter via my .dmp reader if anyone's interested.

Reading up on it, I'm positive that it has something to do with either my Graphics card and/or my motherboard, possibly my network drivers.

If anyone has any advice, I'd be more than grateful.

This is a bump, but also an update. After looking through the .dmp files I've noticed that two threads are common, namely that ntoskrnl.exe and hal.dll are always present in the filenames of the relevant crash logs.

Secondly, that I cannot complete a full scan of my PC using Kaspersky to check for Viruses as it will always Blue Screen before completion.

I've also had a PAGE_FAULT_IN_NON_PAGED_AREA BSOD that I am loathe to blame the RAM for as it is Brand New and after Mem Testing all RAM sticks that I own, nothing conclusive regarding Hardware issues has ever been made apparant.

I'm now more certain than ever that this relates to a Motherboard issue or Graphics card issue, but I really need some support in verifying this.

It looks like I also have some issues with Kaspersky as well.

There's 3 .dmp files that Kaspersky keeps trying to send to Kaspersky lab.

Should I uninstall this as well?

Another Bump and a quick update, I uninstalled STEAM and reinstalled Kaspersky and everything was OK in fact it ran for 4 hours and no issues, so I decided to install nVidia's NTUNE to Stress Test the GPU and I got another BSOD, a 0x0000050 PAGE_In... STOP error, this time including a win32.sys + 62852 in the address stack.

Hi Guys,

Another update, I've left off updating for a while now, so that I can collect as much data as I can. If someone wouldn't mind looking at these readings and letting me know your verdicts I'd be very grateful.

Just to update you all on this issue, after about two months of analysis the issue was found to be hardware, namely the CPU.

I've now swapped the old CPU for an Intel Q9650.

I'll keep an eye on it for a couple of weeks however (fingers crossed) this seems to have done the trick.
