Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this.

I am using my iPhone to try to figure out my computer. So it is the only one I have. It is in a constant loop of windows not starting and trying to fix errors then says it can't, I can't get it to load in safe mode or anything else. I can use the box where u put in commands and found my registry hive says 0 bytes. I do not know how to fix this. And I do not have a windows disk cause it came already installed. So how can I fix this and what do I need to do or try.

I do have a win7 product key on the back of my computer.

Please help ASAP I have been working on this since yesterday and all night.

okay have you tried safe mode on your pc?
why did it start doing this? did you recently have a virus? or did you install some program? please explain to me in every detail possible what you think could have caused this.

this isn't important until you have tried safe mode, but do you have a windows installation disc?

Without knowing the make and model of your computer it's difficult to offer specific instructions. Some computers have a hidden recovery partition on the hard drive that can (sometimes) return the computer to factory specs. Or the manufacturer may offer a set of recovery disks that can be used for the same purpose.

Since you have a COA and Product Key you could obtain the installation media from here:

Official Windows 7 SP1 ISO from Digital River « My Digital Life

Download the ISO and save it to a convenient location (like the desktop) and then burn it to a DVD. It would have to be the exact same version that came with the computer. Once you have the installation DVD you could try a repair install or a clean install.

if she has a bootloop she cant download this media without obviously using another computer and having a writeable disc.

so how is downloading this media going to help her at all? surely trying safe mode would be the more sensible option first? and as you said perhaps a recovery drive built in, like there normally is within HP computers, i know for a fact the last 2 i have had from hp both have a recovery drive, perhaps she doesn't even need the recovery media?

My computer is a dell Inspiron N4110. And how can I get to where to download win7 if I can't get my computer to go past the blue screen with a leaf or something on it saying windows failed to start and it tries to find the problem but can't.

I can get to the cmd.exe. It says it's windows version 6.1.7601. I guess that is win7. Is there a way to do a clean from there and be able to download win7 after or is that not possible.

I did follow someone's instructions on here and my registry hive says 0 bytes in all of the 5. So the instructions said to stop if that was the case cause win can't run with out it. They said to look for a different solution so here I am.

No windows install disk and I did download something's trying to watch a movie online. My mcafee never said I had a virus.

I was uninstalling some programs that I downloaded to watch a movie that didn't work or I didn't need and this was why I did a restart on my comp and it started this loop thing.

I'm sorry I'm not very knowledgable about how to explain all this.

Hi,

Lets try something. In the CMD window that you can access, please type sfc /scannow and hit enter. What is shown?

Okay I'm tried it and it says there is a system repair pending which requires reboot to complete. Restart windows and run sfc again.

I can't do this cause windows won't start.

when your pc boots up do you have any option to "repair" try booting up whilst constantly pressing the following keys one at a time: delete, f1,f8,f12,f10 and tell me if it gets you anywhere

I can't do this cause windows won't start.

If you reboot your PC, what happens? If it takes you back to the CMD window, keep trying the sfc /scannow up to 3 times, with reboots between each.

Golden

Too me you need a windows repair disc, OR a usb with ubuntu linux on it, so you can try to get a fix whilst using linux

and for a start i'd never use mcafee i'd rather use free antivirus than that.
