Hello, can anyone help me im going crazy i been at this for over 6 hrs. I just built a new computer and did all the updates but i beleve it problem lies with the graphic card driver. It happen this morning when i updated just geting random crashes. Now i cant log in. I went to safemode, repair, deubbing, restore, activate when the system worked at a earlier time, and window cd repair disk. All of them get the same results once window files are done down loading it crashes. Repair and safe mode blue screens error 0x0000007e and 0x0000001e but before the blue screen i saw that safe mode crahes when it hits window\system32\Drivers\atipcie.sys
but the weird part i took my harddrive from the new computer and plug it into a my old one and it does the same thing???? i'm at a lost how can i stop these random shut down and earse the driver?

bump found out if i let it sit for a bit i can get enough min to get insafe mode before turning off.......could i get get rid of window\system32\Drivers\atipcie.sys in that amount of time say 1-4 mins
sigh i dont understand y it keep shutting off or restarting everytime it does a system repair or safe mode along with anything etc.... and it does it for 3 different computer the hard drive
Assuming you plugged everything in properly then use an Ubuntu live cd to get all your data (if any) off the HDD then Hitachi's Drive Fitness test to see if the HDD is corrupted. I'd also use the built in GPU instead of the dedicated GPU to rule that out.

well i unhook hard drive and cdrom and sometimes the bio screen freezes up? is it the ram maybe? or do ineed to update bios? it seems like when everytime i try to use ubuntu or winow 7 repair disk it freezes
You'll need to burn both to CD and then boot off them. I'd leave the video card out for this and use the inbuilt GPU. Post the results of both these tests. If it still freezes it might be the motherboard.
ugh it might the mobo......it keeps freezing during the memory diagnostic....it does indicate theirs a hardware issue, but could it be just the RAM thou? doesn't RAM causes freezing too?
Take out the sticks of RAM and test them individually in the first slot. Then test the HDD. If its still freezing I'd RMA the RAM. If that doesn't do it, RMA the motherboard.
ok im still noobish but i have only a 4gb ram stick and when i try to test it on its own without harddrive bios comes up saying "please insert media and boot" how do i test the hdd??? sorry for the late reply sunday football games
i tried with the hdd it cuases the test to freezes, well i been running the ram by its self and its not done yet no frezes so thats a good sign so far...but theirs crazy amount of errors.
The HDD still has the window\system32\Drivers\atipcie.sys causing it to freeze and still need to get rid of that i guess i can hook it up to another computer???
But i to make sure i wouild i know if its just the RAM and not the mobo either??? but i appreciate all the help you been given thanks a lot
If you need to delete that file, use an Ubuntu live cd to boot and delete it (if you can boot) otherwise, boot the fitness test like memtest and let it run. Your HDD may have bad sectors. I'd return the RAM. I don't think its the motherboard (yet).
