Hello, can anyone help me im going crazy i been at this for over 6 hrs. I just built a new computer and did all the updates but i beleve it problem lies with the graphic card driver. It happen this morning when i updated just geting random crashes. Now i cant log in. I went to safemode, repair, deubbing, restore, activate when the system worked at a earlier time, and window cd repair disk. All of them get the same results once window files are done down loading it crashes. Repair and safe mode blue screens error 0x0000007e and 0x0000001e but before the blue screen i saw that safe mode crahes when it hits window\system32\Drivers\atipcie.sys

but the weird part i took my harddrive from the new computer and plug it into a my old one and it does the same thing???? i'm at a lost how can i stop these random shut down and earse the driver?

Assuming you plugged everything in properly then use an Ubuntu live cd to get all your data (if any) off the HDD then Hitachi's Drive Fitness test to see if the HDD is corrupted. I'd also use the built in GPU instead of the dedicated GPU to rule that out.

Possibly, but the fault could be either hardware or software. I'm leaning towards hardware now.

Take out the sticks of RAM and test them individually in the first slot. Then test the HDD. If its still freezing I'd RMA the RAM. If that doesn't do it, RMA the motherboard.

If you only have one stick of RAM, leave it in place, connect the HDD and run the Drive Fitness Test. The HDD may also be a problem.

If the RAM has errors its faulty. I'd plug in the HDD, and then run the DFT to make sure the HDD is fine. Then, RMA the RAM.

If you need to delete that file, use an Ubuntu live cd to boot and delete it (if you can boot) otherwise, boot the fitness test like memtest and let it run. Your HDD may have bad sectors. I'd return the RAM. I don't think its the motherboard (yet).

Or the HDD. So run the DFT boot disc. That will rule out the HDD.
