Solved Constant Startup Repair

I own a Dell Inspirion One 19, and have had recent computer errors. So I decided to to just do a restore. Apparently when I created my recovery discs I only created 1 of 2 recovery discs. When I try to use the Dell DataSafe Local Backup I get error 0x400110020000100A. I have a Windows 7 Ultimate disc that I used since the Dell method didn't work. After the whole setup after making a administrator account and setting the date and etc, it tells me the restart my computer and every time I get the startup repair. PLEASE HELP!

Do you have a recovery partition ?

Did you run the startup repair from your Windows 7 disc ? Up to 3 times ?

I have a recovery partition.

I haven't and am not too sure where the repair button is.

Put the W7 disc in just like when you did the install. You will come to a page that says repair my computer. The next page should let you choose startup repair. See if it will repair the pc.

Only if you have to.

If you didn`t wipe out your recovery partition you could use that to restore your pc. When the pc first boots watch the screen and it might tell you what key to push to start the recovery process.

By when I try to use my recovery partition I get an error.

Maybe you fouled it up when you did the install. Try the startup repair and see if you get anywhere.

You can order recovery discs from dell.

Where did you get the W7 dvd ?

If I fouled it up could I wipe out that partition. There is a OEM Reserved partition as well, can I delete that one?

I would say no, Just try to get 7 installed on the same partition you attempted earlier. Then we can take a look at disk management.

If you tried running the Disks first instead of the Recovery partition then they overwrote it, then with only one disk you would be stranded without either method to Recover unless you order another Disk set from Tech Support.

If you want to Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 follow the steps given in the tutorial in blue link. You should be using only the licensed version installer in link.

I would also wipe the HD first with Diskpart Clean Command accessing DISKPART At PC Startup.

Apparently the issue was my Windows 7 disc. I burned a .iso from Official Windows 7 SP1 ISO from Digital River « My Digital Life and burned it with ImgBurn at x4 speed. Installed clean Windows with it, and it worked!
