The CBSPersist files hold the archived CBS.logs - in compressed format.
The only errors in the SFC scan are the expected ones from KB3068708 - which MS have mis-coded so that variable files are coded as static ones. SFC shouldn't even be checking these.
You can either ignore the results, or uninstall KB3068708 and hide it - MS will eventually get around to re-coding and updating the stuff, and it'll reappear in your updates list then.

Thanks,

I uninstalled KB3068708 and hid it. Now when I first played a cd and soon after that ran the BurnInTest, it was all fine. Hopefully this won't crash anymore. I'll come back if it does :)

Thanks for all the help! :geek::cool::party:

PC has been working flawlessly until few days it gave an error at startup "windows restarted after an unexpected shutdown" or something like that, freely translated. This has happened twice now.

After your last advice there has been no other errors, no unexpected bluescreens in your face or anything. It is about booting and I am not sure if it has been both times, when I woke it up from sleep mode. If so, it didn't send me directly to windows and user login screen but booted from the beginning, motherboard logo screen-> Then it asked whether I wanted to startup in safe mode, I chose "Start windows normally"

Any hints? I've heard people have had problems with this Crucial MX100 SSD and people have tried chkdsk to fix it.

Help please? :)

Memory corruption is where we started. You may try uninstalling Chrome for a while and see if that could be the problem, it has been for a few people. Also you may try the sfc scan again

Open an elevated command prompt ( click start, type cmd in the search box, right click on the cmd entry and select run as administrator) in the black box that opens, copy/paste sfc /scannow. If you decide to type it, notice the space between the sfc and the /. It is a system file checker which will scan your system files and attempt to correct any missing or corrupt files. What we want are the results to say windows found no integrity violations. If it says files were found but could not be repaired, close the box, reboot and run it again, after opening the administrative command prompt. You may have to reboot and run it three times for it to repair all system files. If it can't repair them after 3 reboots, let us know.

Okay thanks.

I uninstalled Chrome and I'm more or less dealing with the original issue:
When Booting, screen is just black for ~10 seconds, after that it goes to Gigabyte dualBIOS (in case it fails to load the main BIOS) and after that it boots but slower than normally. This happened twice now already. Sfc /scannow shows no errors, Bluescreenview doesn't show any new minidump records after the latest one I posted to you.

Last option is to reinstall Windows (which I have already done for ~5 times within a year) or try to fix or return the SSD. I'm getting hopeless with this :/ ..

If you have a spare hard drive or someone you could borrow one from, do a minimal install on it. Just enough to test how it works. Disconnect 1 wire from every other hard drive you have except the one you are installing on and keep them disconnected until you know you do or do not have the same problem. That is the only way you will know for sure if it is the SSD or if you have another problem.

You could also try a bios update, if a newer one is available, and see if that helps.

Hi,

Here's a picture of disk management. It's in Finnish but I guess everything should be okay there. The SSD has another partition, that 100mb that Windows requires I suppose.

Yes. I do have another SSD in my main computer and I guess I have to do a sacrifice and plug it in into this faulty pc and install win7 without excessive stuff. What happens to my Win7 CD-key when I'm reinstalling Windows to another drive into the same computer, does it let to use the same key?

Could you help me out a little? The 100 MB partition should say Healthy (System, Active, Primary Partition) and your C drive should say Healthy (Boot, Page File, Crash Dump, Primary Partition). I think it is right, but is that what it says?

As far as the Windows Keys, the key stays with the computer it is on, no matter what hard drive you are installing to. I sure wish you had a spare hard drive so you wouldn't have to mess up your installation on your other computer.

When it will not boot, what error message do you see? Does it say no bootable device found, or is it some other error? The screen going black could be a graphics problem, but I wouldn't think it would cause a very slow boot. Are you sure there are no Gigabyte Utilities installed and which anti virus do you have installed? Also, please excuse me if these questions have been answered before. We may try a couple of other things before a clean install.

Yes. That is precisely what it says.

Good to know about the cd keys.

It does not say no bootable device found or any other error, it is just slow. In normal case it should flash the motherboard screen when you have that 0,1second time to hit f12 for BIOS. It doesn't let me get even there atm. I'm not so sure about installed gigabyte utilities and im using default Windows Security Essentials.

Now I got another BSOD, twice in a row. At boot, when it says "Welcome", just before bringing me to desktop, it flashes a black screen and then gives a bluescreen which lasts for 1-2seconds. Happened again when it rebooted automatically. I shut it down manually from power button and let it be for a minute and then it came back alive but still this slower boot occurred.

Any possibility the motherboard is unstable as hell?

CBS files attached. Sfc /scannow is clean.

Jampaque, I also note that your ;Who Crashed' lists your driver as Windows 8 and you are running Windows 7. However most of the Graphics drivers are for 7 or 8. If there is a distinction, be sure to choose the one that says Windows 7.

Hi again,

I had problems getting into Windows, since first it did the same bluescreen and I could only start in safe mode to get into desktop. After 2 or 3 boots, it stopped doing even bluescreening and only I got was a black screen without anything. I pressed the power button and it took for ~five seconds (as if you were on Windows, otherwise it would shut down immediately) and cut down the power from my power supply for a while. When I booted now, it brought me to Windows through welcome screen.

I installed the newest drivers from Intel website, since drivers downloaded from Gigabyte site said that they're much older than the current ones I had. When booted, it was way much faster it used to be, as it should with an SSD. However, it STILL didn't give BIOS flash screen with that motherboard logo it typically does, or should? Is this an issue? I've struggled also with this from the beginning and found clearing CMOS (touching pins with a metal object as motherboard manual advices to do) helping with the issue.

Question: I'm installing a new motherboard to my own PC, both the old and the new are Asrock production. Do I have to reinstall Windows or should it boot from an SSD just like before?

Cheers!

Unfortunately I have to return here again, so hello!

The PC had been working fine for a week or two and I installed an external GPU of mine, old Sapphire HD4850. This haven't afflicted any bluescreens though. It happened again after last time I installed Windows updates! Could you check what was the reason? File attached. /sfc scannow was clean.

If it is a Windows update, should I just disable all updates since it has been now twice an update was behind the bluescreens? I know updates improve general stability, security (and also slow your computer and fill up your storage) but I'm getting a bit doubtful with this.

Jampaque, do you have, or can you borrow an extra hard drive just for a few days so we can test it? In the mean time see if you can update your Intel Wireless adapter.

Yes, I can take an SSD from my own pc but when doing so I suppose this doesn't recognize the Win7 installed in it. I have an old 80gb HDD though which is hooked but empty in the other pc. If I install Windows there, how can we know whether it's the hard drive or the Windows? What do you want me to do with the extra hard drive? Did you find anything in the file I attached?

I have checked my drivers with Intel driver update utility. It shows I have installed wireless driver version 17.16.0.4 which seems to be the newest one available.

What I would like to do is disconnect all hard drives, connect the 80 GB drive and install Windows. Do not install any Motherboard drivers, install all of the Windows recommended and important updates. Keep checking for updates until there are no more. The only driver I want you to have is the wireless driver from Gigabyte if that is how you connect to the internet or the Lan driver if you use a wired connection. Install Microsoft Security Essentials Microsoft Security Essentials - Microsoft Windows as an AV. Then look in device manager and post a screenshot of Device Manager http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/9733-screenshots-files-upload-post-seven-forums.html. Any yellow icons in Device Manager, expand the it by clicking the small triangle next to it so I can see what it is. Don't install anything else right now. For the time being, do not reconnect the other hard drives.

When you get to the part in the installation where you put in your product Key, don't put it in and be sure to uncheck the Automatically Activate Windows when I'm online check box
