Control panel problem

I have a problem when I am trying to open (SOUND) in the control panal it takes over a min to open. I did a new install of W7 trying to fix this and the same thing. I have a creative sound card in the pcie slot but no drivers are installed yet. When I had the SB drivers installed it took the same long time to open SB control launch panal. So that is why I reinstalled W7. Why is it only slow opening the sound app??? Please help!!

NO ONE has ever had a problem with the (sound app) in the control panal not opening or very very slow opening???

Is it showing any yellow exclamation marks in Device Manager?

NO The only thing that is in the mobo is 2x 5850 video cards in crossfire and sound blaster card. The sound card is running on default drivers from MS. I have not downloaded any creative drivers yet. When the creative drives where installed it was slow to launch the SB control panal also because of this??

Try disabling the ATI HDMI sound device(s) in the Device manager. That worked for me something with Catalyst and that driver or something. Hope this helps.
