Solved control panel wont open

If i click start,control panel it opens as a reduced icon to the task bar but wont open so as i can see the actual control panel?
The only way i can access control panel is computer then the link at the top open control panel which it does.
how can i get the control panel to open from start-control panel.
This has only just started to happen?

Hello McGoo,

Since it has an opened icon on the taskbar, it's window may just be offscreen. If so, then you could use the method in the tutorial below to drag it back onscreen.

i tried group policy to force it to open and it now opens?
Thanks for your help brink,that's something i didn't know off and will store it in my memory bank for future mishaps.
