I am looking for a method of manually installing all my security applications and antivirus software in Windows 7 and backing it up to a vhd file and converting that to an iso and booting to it like a live cd/dvd.

Any idea?

Thanks for the help.

You could download a repair disc, and then edit the ISO using some third-party tools. Stick the files and programs you want into the ISO, and save it.

   Tip
You must download the 32-bit ISO! Many programs will not run in the 64-bit recovery environment, even if they run on a 64-bit system.

Then boot from the ISO, and when you get to the language screen, hit Shift+F10 to pull up a command prompt.

You can then manually tell it to run a program. Find the letter of the drive you are booting (trial-and-error, or you can use Diskpart).

For example, if I put Malwarebytes in the root directory, and the DVD drive was E, I would enter E:\Malwarebytes\mbam.exe.
