Coprocessor driver problem

I used to have alot of problems with my laptop crashing using Vista. I bought Windows 7 and did a clean install and now I'm having problems with 7 crashing. Then I noticed the coprocessor didn't have a driver, nor can I find the right chipset driver for it. At this point I should back over this laptop a few times with my car but it is only a year old and should not be doing this stuff. Can anyone help?

Windows 7 has support for Vista drivers. And your processor should be fine. Windows 7 comes with a ton of drivers and your processor is a fairly mainstream one.

have you tried reinstalling the latest chipset drivers ? maybe even in compatibility mode http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/316-compatibility-mode.html

espatcho, could you please tell us your laptop model number, we may be able to find better drivers for you

Ok, I've updated my chipset driver and the coprocessor ! is gone, so thats good.

Ok, I've updated the chipset driver...coprocessor problem is gone, now I have to work on the BSOD

I have another question if I may, Earlier today I tried to do a system restore thinking I may have messed something up but during the restore the system froze up and I had to power off...can that mess up my windows, because it seems to take longer loading up now and when I restart it shuts down and don't restart, I have to power off again and power on to get computer to start

It can mess things up since it handles file changes and it was interrupted. You can undo a System Restore by going into the System Restore program in Windows and try, but I recommend you open command prompt (Start -> "cmd") and use the "sfc /scannow" command (no quotes) to verify the integrity of the system. It will attempt to fix any problems it finds.
