Coprosessor

Hi,

I got Windows 7 on my laptop 3 days ago and am just getting to grips with all the features. I would be spending more time on my laptop, but the screen is way to bright. Yes, I have tried the normal way of pressing down Fn and F7 (in my case) but nothing will change. I have a feeling that this relates to my Coprosessor drivers (or rather at the moment, none of them..) that will not install. I am using a Compaq Presario laptop. Can anyone help?

Show us a screenshot of your device manager. Especially of unknown devices.

OK, go into the details of coprcessor and of unknown device, a give us the string with vendor id and subsys (hardware ID).

Install, reboot, and check again:

The other device is NVIDIA nForce System Management Controller. Go to Nvidia website.

hey, could you spoon feed me with the NVIDIA driver? I am having trouble finding it....

oh man... google for a freeware tool called 'GPU-Z', this will tell you your exact graphics hardware version

and NVIDIA website has an automatic tool to determine your hardware

the smu_vista64 chipset drivers from my motherboard manufacturers site sort's my coprocessor drivers out
