All you need to do is drag-n-drop the files from the DVD onto your hard drive. If you wanted to create a bootable thumb drive, that would be very simple.
If you have a program that will make an ISO out of the contents of a DVD or CD, that should work too. Unlike movies, the installation discs are not encrypted.

As stated by others, the disks are not encrypted..so copying is not an issue.
Almost all cd/dvd burning apps (like ImgBurn, Roxio, Nero, cdburnerxp), all have the ability to read a source disk and make an image (ISO file). Once you make the ISO, you can then Burn a disk from an image and this creates a new cd/dvd from the ISO. And if the original disk was bootable, it will continue to be bootable when copied in this manner.
