Copying large files consumes too much memory

Yes!

So I decide to completely remove NOD32 from system, as it was most suspicious piece of software to me. It looks like that problem is solved. I copy files from C to D disc for almost an hour but can't repeat problem with memory now when NOD32 is removed from the system so I suspect it was NOD32 causing the problem. If problem came back I will inform you here.

If you didn't already do it I would have suggested it. NOD32 has been causing memory leak problems for a long time now on certain machines. As you found out, disabling isn't enough. It needs to be removed from the system completely.

Completely off topic, but seeing as you removed NOD, perhaps you can help me? How the hell do you remove it? I'm trying to instll Kspersky for a client, but it keep on stopping, saying that NOD needs to be removed first.

Trouble is, NOTHING wants to get rid of NOD...

Start, All programs, ESET, uninstall. After that with regedit cleaned registry and deleted remained files & dirs on hdd.

Removing Eset Nod32 and/or ESS

There is a service running that can't be stopped except
via using NOD32 own uninstaller

* Note:- computer MUST have a copy of Nod32 installer *.exe
on computer before uninstaller will work.

So, get any copy of Nod32 as if you were going to install
and run [start it]
Use OPTION to uninstall and it will stop that service during uninstall
[unless you have Nod32 passworded - then need password for uninstall to complete.

Once done, reboot computer and go to C:\Program Files\ESET <-- delete this folder
* If it won't delete, rename it, reboot computer again and then
renamed folder will delete.
