After closing the on screen display for Core Temp, I can't reopen it. The program's System Tray icon remains in the tray, but when using it to select "show", it opens a rather drab Windows like display, instead of it's usual one. Rebooting doesn't solve it, and going through the ini, I see nothing that appears to be for the purpose. How do I return it to it's previous behavior?

What version are you running is it the 0.99 or the new 1.0RC with the dreaded installer.The reason I ask is I tried the 1.0RC and had nothing but trouble with it.On top of that my antivirus was flagging it as suspicious.I went back to the previous version.

Edit-It may be worth trying the new version though that was just my experience with it.

I came back to this thread to find the answer for this problem, because I had fixed it somehow previously, but unfortunately didn't post it. AARG!

This has worked for me: I close Core Temp & then open the program again without restarting.

Too bad, that doesn't work for me. Under Tools, there is an item called G15 applet, with enable/disable options, but when I try to enable it, it refuses.

Try downloading/installing ver 1.0. The only bug it has is on startup. I have 4 cores & only 2 show in my system tray. The close/open fixes it. I emailed Arthur Liberman about the issue & he responded:

"This is a bug in the current version. It will be fixed in the next release".

I knew that it wasn't all that much of a problem, but just couldn't remember. Then I recalled that Core Temp and Core Temp Gadget are two different programs. All I had to do was to select the gadget from the desktop gadgets.

I just downloaded/installed version 1.0 RC2 (I had 1.0), which apparently is his next release. I still have the same issue with only 2 or 3 cores showing in the system tray upon startup. Closing & starting Core Temp still fixes it.
