Corrupt recycle bin

I got a message saying that my recycle bin is corrupt and asks me if I want to empty the recycle bin. I don't know what to do? Can someone please Help Me?

If there isnt anythng in recycle you need empty it and windows will rebuild it on re-boot

There was one item in it and when I went into my C: drive recycle bin folder I deleted it from there. So what you are saying is that if I reboot and it comes up again that I should empty it and reboot?

Okay I did it and it worked. Thank you very much. I have been running windows 7 since it has been out and this is the first incident that I have had with it. Sorry it was so simple. Thank you again.
