I would go for the Gigabyte GeForce GTS 250 1GB based purely on the fact that you have an NVidia chipset on your motherboard.

I would "Assume" That the FPS would suffer with a larger monitor, but not like you are saying. this sounds more like drivers or hardware. Your card ranks in the middle on this test site: GeForce 9500 GT review

The Card could be faulty though. Are you having any issues with heat?
Have you tried taking the card out and making sure everything is clean and reinserting? there might be debri in the slot.

Have reinstalled everything twice over and have the latest drivers for everything and yes the card as been removed and checked but all good there and i have no problems with heat. The PC is a new build only thing left from old one is the case.

Alternately, if you haven't, update the drivers. this might help....
If you have updated the drivers, you might want to try older drivers

or

checking with your mobo manufacturer for a BIOS update. If the card is not showing any problems, heat-wise or being set right, then it could be the way it is "talking" to the motherboard. Flashing the BIOS should only be done in a circumstance that fixes a problem and should not be taken lightly.

Have you actually installed nVidia chipset and geforce drivers. Your original post looks like you are still running with Microsofts built in default nVidia drivers. Although with £200, you could get a nice update. Just make sure your PSU can handle the new card.

Have you actually installed nVidia chipset and geforce drivers. Your original post looks like you are still running with Microsofts built in default nVidia drivers. Although with £200, you could get a nice update. Just make sure your PSU can handle the new card.

Yes i did install older drivers and also installed the right ones ie, Nvidia . Reason you don't see it is because I'm on the smaller monitor then and now, thank guys
