Hi,
My question is whether could install this SO ,(windows vista 64 bits) in the team of my sister and install the upgrade W7 in my without having any problems,
Shop windows vista 64 bits with upgrade to windows 7 and i have not installed none yet nor in my team nor,(i am sorry if this bad writing i am spanish and i use a translator spanish-english sorry),my cuestion if it could install 2 SO in different teams ,(vista and windows 7),the 2 with their licenses legal although it is upgrade windows 7,

Simple answer is NO, not legal to do.

The "upgrade W7" means you stop using Vista when you replace Vista with W7.

However, the world is full of not honest people who will use the "upgrade" anyway. Please do not ask Windows Seven Forums how to not be honest.

You said you bought Vista 64 bit. How did you buy the upgrade W7? Is it just to upgrade the Vista you bought, or is it a retail upgrade?

Decís de que cuando se compró la computadora de tu hermana vino con Windows Vista de 64 bits preinstalado con la posibilidad de actualizar a Windows 7 y vos quisieras saber si podés dejar Windows Vista en el equipo de tu hermana y vos instalarte su Windows 7 original en tu máquina.
Si es éso lo que querés hacer, puedo decirte que no estoy seguro, pero me parece que no. O sea, ésa versión de Windows 7 es en realidad para instalar legalmente en la máquina de tu hermana, no en otro equipo, pero... no estoy seguro.
Mejor esperemos a ver qué dicen los expertos compañeros de éste foro.

I asked riojanitoperez how the W7 upgrade was purchased because I bought 7 Home Premium upgrade in a Green retail box. If he also has the Retail upgrade, he can install the W7 Release Candidate (given to the public at no charge) on his computer and upgrade this OS (Operating System) with the Retail W7 upgrade, then use the Vista OS on his sister's computer. I would be happy to help do this.

What is not clear is what you suggested: whether the software is from a name brand computer maker and is only supposed to be used on that name brand computer. We can give riojanitoperez a better answer to his question if we can learn more about the software he purchased. And we are happy to help if we can.

Ahora les hablo en español,yá que véo que hay una persona que puede traducir y lo hizo ayer.Resulta que compré el paquete OEM de actualización windows vista a windows 7,entonces primero me dieron windows vista y a los 2 meses me han traido el windows 7,entonces tengo los 2 paquetes en mi casa pero sin instalar ninguno de ellos todavía.mi pregunta es si podía instalar w.vista en un equipo ó en una partición y windows 7 en otro,(windows 7 es el upgrade que tambien lo tengo pero sin instalar ninguno),nada más,

I've just bought the OEM package of Windows Vista to Windows 7 update, so they gave me Windows Vista first and after 2 months they sent me Windows 7, so now I've both packages at home but I still haven't installed any of them. My question is if I can install Windows Vista in a computer or partition and Windows 7 in other one (It's the Windows 7 that I also have and didn't installed yet), no more than that.
For short, I want to know if I can install both operating systems independently in 2 different computers, my sister's one and mine. I'm a legal person who respects and my intentions are just to ask because this is the proper forum to fo that. In case that I couldn't install other OS than Windows 7 so, why I want to have both packages??

The simple answer is no. Microsoft wanted Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) to sell Vista before Win 7 was available. To help them sell, Microsoft promised some they could have a copy of Win 7, when it was available, to upgrade or replace the Vista they bought. OEM is not the same as RETAIL. OEM software can only be used on the new computer it is first installed on. Sorry to disappoint you.

To install the Win 7 upgrade, you will have to install the Vista first. Then from Vista, start the Win 7 upgrade.
