Could someone explain this

I was on a web site that I needed to press print screen and a small snuppet appeared and disappeared so quickly to the right of the screen i had no chance to react, except i did catch some words to the effect " if you want to see ...." Now does anyone know where that 'screen' went to read it? I tried to duplicate it and nothing happens...perhaps I need to delete the previous one, but I do not know where to look. On xp it would go directly to clipboard, I do not know where it goes in Win 7

You can open Paint and click Paste.
You should see your screen print.

Yes, I did and the screen came up blank.

You can try using the Snipping Tool and see if that captures.

I checked snipping tools and there was nothing there either..Anyway I did not initiate ST. I thought one had to do so in order to use it.
